Robbery Bulletin #44: Duo Uses Shotguns to Rob Convenience Markets

There have been five commercial robberies in the last two weeks that were clearly committed by the same suspects.

DESCRIPTIONS:
S1: MB, 59 or 10, 200, one witness guessed early 20s, other witnesses could not estimate the age because susp wore a ski mask. One witness described him as having a light complexion.
S2: MB, 6 or taller, 150 (slim), one witness guessed early 20s; other witnesses could not estimate the age because susp wore a ski mask.
CLOTHING: Both suspects were described as wearing long, tan trench coats (black in one instance), black knit ski masks, and black gloves. A witness in the most recent robbery also noted jeans and white tee shirts.
WEAPON: All of the witnesses clearly identified the weapon as a shotgun, fairly unusual for a robbery. Some of the witnesses also described the gun(s) as double-barreled, and one witness called one of the guns sawed-off. Some of the robberies were committed with one shotgun, in others, two shotguns.
VEHICLE: Prior to the 30 Dec robbery, a man fitting the description of S1 and wearing a tan leather jacket was seen casing the store and driving away in an 82 Hond Pre 2D blue, CA plate 1FJC589. The vehicle is registered to Garner, Gary D, CDL B5637694, DOB 25 Jul 76, MB, 5-10, 190, PFN AXV609, 2610 Ivy Drive, Oak, 94606. The vehicle is registered to 362 South 37th St, Richmond, CA, 94804.

34X S1 approached employee and yelled, Give me the money in the register. If there is anybody in the back Ill kill them too! Employee emptied the register and put the money on the counter. S1 then demanded the money underneath the register. S1 shoved the money in his pockets and fled through the front door N/B in the 1400 blk of 84th Av.

35X S1 bought two boxes of cereal too large to fit through the security window, so went to the door to get them. When employee opened the door, S2 pointed the shotgun in his face. Employee tried to disarm the suspect, and after a brief struggle, S2 knocked the employee to the ground. S1 went to the counter and removed money from the drawer beneath the cash register. Suspects fled in unknown direction.

25X Suspect came into the store, pointed a shotgun at the employee, and demanded money saying, God damn mutha fucka, give me all of your Super Lotto money! Suspect demanded the other employee give him more money. Employee showed suspect the drawer was empty. Suspect concealed the shotgun under his trench coat and left the store. Note: This robbery was committed by only one suspect, but a review of the surveillance videotape shows a male black in a tan jacket enter the store and look extensively at each surveillance camera, indicating that he could likely be associated with the suspect who robbed the business. One employee also stated he saw the man on the tape obviously casing the store at 1130 and then drive away. Vehicle described above.

24Y Two suspects entered the market through the front door. S1 held a shotgun and pointed it at the employees, telling them to open the cash register and turn around. S2 jumped the counter, took the money in the resister, then took the wallet of one employee. Suspects fled in an unknown direction.

22X Suspects entered the store and one suspect struck the employee on the head, perhaps with the gun. One suspect said, Give me the money and Open it, pointing to the register. The other suspect said, Put your hands up, pushed buttons on the register trying to open it, then said, Wheres the other money? Employee replied that was all there was. Suspect took the loss and both fled on foot S/B on Lincoln.
