We're launching a new feature at OaklandNews that just happens to fit in perfectly with the highly opinionated tone around here. It's an advice page, with recommendations for all types of everyday necessities - plumbers, earthquake retrofitting, medical care. We make no guarantees -- we can only tell you that at least one person from OaklandNews highly recommends these men and women. Add you own recommendations, if you wish. For now, we're only taking recommendations within existing categories. If we get ambitious, we may create new categories based on reader input.
