Hi, sports fans!

Editor Jeannette Sherwin is back from several days in the hospital for surgery. Her surgeon, Dr. David Fisher, and cardiologist, Dr. Edmund Chen, both of Kaiser-Richmond, high-fived each other around the parking lot six times in a row because Sherwin lost a staggering three red blood corpuscles during the "perfect operation."

Sherwin now believes that Dialudid should be given to every passionate, but losing-side, voter after every election. "You feel alright _and_ you have no memory of when you felt wretched. But maybe after four year you get a little bit addicted? I have volunteered to be a human experiment," said the noble Sherwimp.

The editor is sore, tires easily and has a few pithy things to say about Jello, bouillon and night shift staffing. Her recovery is expected to take eight weeks -- but she will be writing before then.

By the way, her birthday again this year will fall on December 11th, and Christmas (her sister's birthday) will again be on December 25th. Merry Happy everything to everyone!

PS Sherwin also advises that having a best friend like her best friend, Joanna Robinson, is the only way to go. Robinson left her own lovely house and husband to stay at Sherwin's house, answer phone calls, be her advocate, feed her animals -- the lot. Way to go, JoAnimal!

The editor is also pretty sure that her cat
made some of the above typos. Jeeeze what a mess!

Having recently enjoyed the accommodations at the cardio cath lab at Merrit, I share your joy at having the experience behind you, Jeannette, but I didn't enjoy the drugs as much. I hope you recover from your experience as well -- if not better -- then I have from mine.

Jeanette,
Jeez! What a way to enter the holiday season! I'm glad things went so well with your surgery, though, and I hope you are back in full form soonest.
