Applications for the City of Oakland Cultural Funding Program are available as of November 17, 2003, for the following categories:

* Project Support for Organizations and Individual Artists * * Art in the Schools supporting artist residencies in the schools * * Organizational for Organizations with a funding history with the Assistance Cultural Funding Program of 2 of the past 4 years (OaklandNews takes no responsibility for the deplorable syntax of this memo, but suggests that someone ought to be shot.)

* All applicants must be Oakland-based, and all activities proposed for Project Support and Art in the Schools Support must be presented in Oakland

* Funds support activities occurring between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005

* The Cultural Funding Program relies on a competitive panel process to determine award recipients and funding allocations

* DEADLINES: January 16, 2004 - Project Support and Art in the Schools January 23, 2004 - Organizational Assistance

Do you think someone could get a grant for, ahh, I guess you could characterize it as Outsider Performance Art.
The piece would be called, "We move? Ha! You Don't Move."
The Artist would shadow Taura Musgrove and slash her tires.
