At Least in Chicago the Fire Department Gets There on Time

The recent fire on MacArthur Blvd., which has ATF people swarming the
site, burned for seven (7) long minutes before the Oakland Fire Department
arrived.

Local dimwits Mayor Jerry Brown and council member Jean Quan
were on the scene as fast as possible, grabbing air time. Jerry
announced that seven minutes was fine, no relationship
to the recent fire station closures.

Then why is the national standard for responding
to this type of fire FOUR minutes?

Go ahead, explain that to Oakland residents while you keep your
car allowances and your enormous perks.
