The KIJE Project

Oakland's Merry Parodists Are Here

ERRATA, OMISSIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

1. Where we stated on our web site that Jerry Brown is
an annoying, pedantic sack of manure, we neglected to
mention what type of manure. It is the manure of
diarrheatic ostriches. We apologize for the omission.

2. In our page where we suggested that Jacques
Barzaghi be staked naked on an anthill in the Sahara,
we reversed the steps. One doesn't smear the man with
ants and then add honey -- it's vice versa. We regret
the error.

3. Ongoing discussions of the Port Commission on our
message board repeatedly misspell "assholes." Our
apologies.

4. Despite hours of research, we cannot find any
photographic evidence of Mother Teresa wearing "hot
pants." We retract the allegation.

5. In our page about Chris Whittle and the Edison
Schools, we stated that "you should never trust a CEO
in a bow tie." Our apologies to the family and friends
of the late Orville Redenbacher.

Dear Kije Project folks:

Just had a chance to check your site again, and I have to say it is terrific, incisive, and brutally funny. I first heard about it back in February from Jeannette Sherwin at OaklandNews.com, and was glad to see the extensive updates. Not many people have heard of "Lt. Kije," kudos to you. It's a great concept and name. I'm sure that Prokofiev would be proud. Who are you folks, anyway?

Dear Theresa et al,
Don't try to discover who the Kije Project members are. I don't know,
and have given up trying. The East Bay Express put a bounty
on discovery of Kije Project members, which I think was a big mistake. I
get nice emails from Kije, Chris Thompson has to write to them in haiku.
As Kije would say, "Neener, neener, neener."

If you love Kije, like I love Kije, then buy one of their T-shirts! Wear it
the next time you see Mayor Jer'.

Very soon, we will have better T shirts available.

Stay tuned!
